Our Houses

Ronald McDonald House Hawai‘i operates two Houses in Honolulu’s lower Mānoa Valley, providing eligible families with a place to stay and support while a child receives medical care on O‘ahu. Both Houses share the same purpose, while each offers a setting designed around the needs of the families who stay there.

A family-centered space to stay, connect and recharge.

Our original House, Judd Hillside welcomes families with children receiving outpatient treatment, as well as families traveling with siblings. Its lively, family-centered environment includes spaces where families can gather, relax, play and keep up with schoolwork—including the Family Recreation Center.

O‘ahu Avenue House

A peaceful setting for rest and renewal.

O‘ahu Avenue House provides a quieter, adult-focused environment for family members of children receiving inpatient care and eligible neighbor-island guests experiencing high-risk pregnancies. Seven guest rooms, comfortable community spaces, a library and peaceful surroundings offer adults a place to rest and recharge between time spent at the hospital.

Which House will my family stay in?

Families do not need to choose between the two Houses. Our team determines the appropriate placement based on eligibility, room availability and each family’s circumstances.
